Call to Worship
Leader: The Word became flesh and lived among us.
Cong.: We have seen his glory, as a father’s only son, full of grace truth.
Leader: It is God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness.”
Cong.: To give light to the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Leader: And so he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.
Cong.: Through him, we all have access in one Spirit to the Father.
Opening Prayer (Unison)-Eternal Light, shine into our hearts. Eternal Goodness, deliver us from evil. Eternal Power, be our support. Eternal Wisdom, scatter the darkness of our ignorance. Eternal Pity, have mercy upon us. With all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, may we seek your face to discover infinite mercy and live in your Holy presence. Amen.
