Opening Prayer (Unison) – Holy God, as we commence this morning with a celebration of Palm Sunday, waving our branches and shouting hallelujah, may we also remember the week that follows; one that is filled with pain and tears. Your Holy Son went not up to joy without experiencing pain and humiliation, and he did not enter into your glory before he suffered crucifixion on the cross. Mercifully grant that as we walk in the way of the cross, we too will find it to be the path to life and peace. Amen.
