You may be thinking about going to church for the first time or you may have gone to church all your life. Either way, it is a big step to go into a new church building for the first time. We want you feel comfortable and welcome when you visit Providence United Methodist Church. Our two worship services are very similar, leaning toward traditional worship but with an openness to the spirit and a desire to welcome families.

You may have some questions or concerns if you are thinking about visiting. Here’s a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will give you a better idea of what to expect at Providence. How many services do you offer?
We offer a blend of traditional and new worship styles, enhanced by visual projection, on Sunday. The early service begins at 8:45 a.m. and the second service begins at 11:00 a.m.

Do you offer Sunday school?
We offer many Sunday school classes from the age of 3 to adult starting at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A nursery is also provided.

What do I wear?
Wear what feels comfortable. You will find some people casually dressed and others a little more dressy.

Is the Church equipped for everyone?
Yes, there is reserved handicapped parking on the side and back of the building. There is an elevator in the back of church with ramp access if needed. We have assisted-listening devices for those who don’t hear quite as well as they used to.

Is there a place for the children?
We offer nursery services for children four and under. It is located in the lower level of the church. All children are welcome in our services. Worship bulletins, bags with resources for children, and involving children in the service are ways we try to connect. We love our children. We are a Safe Sanctuary Church.
