Providence members of all ages make a joyful noise through participation in one or more of our many music ministries. Vocal choirs and Handbell Ringers meet throughout the year to rehearse, perform and enhance the worship experience here at Providence Church.
Musical Groups and Rehearsal Times
Ministry in Motion
Ministry in Motion leads worship for our 9:00 a.m. Informal Connections Service. If you are interested in playing an instrument or singing with our praise band, please contact Allison Stowers, at email@example.com. Rehearsals on Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
JOIN THE CHOIR! Bring a friend, ask your neighbor! The Chancel Choir is for anyone who loves to sing and learn about the Word of God through song. Chancel Choir is for adults (high school and up) and sings for Sunday Services at 11:00 a.m. The Chancel Choir also sings at special services during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Keep an eye on the newsletter and bulletin to find out about our special occasion choirs, women’s chorus, and men’s chorus. Chancel Choir sings a variety of music – gospel, classical, traditional, and contemporary – and teaches about hymnody. To learn more or to attend a rehearsal, contact Allison Stowers, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Bells of Providence
Our handbell choir plays regularly for the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Our three-octave Malmark Handbell and Chime choirs are looking for more ringers. Come and join in on the fun! If you are not available to play every Sunday but read music, please consider joining our substitute list! (Substitutes fill in for regular members when they are unavailable or out of town.) To learn more or to attend a rehearsal, contact Allison Stowers at email@example.com. Rehearsals on Sunday, time to be determined.
If you play an instrument or sing and are interested in providing music for either service, please contact Allison Stowers at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our music ministry is very inclusive of all musicians – beginners to veterans! Special Music is sometimes a solo or simply leading a hymn. It helps enhance worship by bringing the spoken word to life through music!
