Christmas ScheduleHanging of the Greens

December 6, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., the Hanging of the Greens service will be held in preparation for Christ’s coming, which includes hanging greenery traditionally associated with everlasting life. Come learn about the symbols of Advent rooted in Christian tradition.

 

Bells of Christmas, Carols and Cookies!

December 12, 4:00 p.m. Come to a holiday celebration hosted by our handbell choir, The Bells of Providence! This one hour concert will be family friendly, casual and “Christmassy.” There will be carols sung, Christmas jokes told and bells galore!! Wear your TACKIEST holiday sweater or outfits and join us in the Sanctuary for an hour of handbells, carols and laughter!

 

Sing Glory!

December 20 at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Sing Glory!” is the theme of our services on December 20. The Chancel Choir will sing the Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi with live instrumental accompaniment. Other music will be led by our Youth Choir and The Bells of Providence! You do not want to miss this extraordinary morning of music!

 

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

December 20, 10:00 a.m. “Happy Birthday, Jesus!” party will be hosted by the Children’s Ministry and Joy Wagner! All children will be able to wish Jesus a happy birthday and partake in a delicious piece of birthday cake to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

 

Christmas Eve Services

5:00 – Family Service and Children’s Musical “Jesus, Light of the World!” Nursery will be provided.

 

7:30 – Traditional Candlelight Service and Communion. Daniel Burch will be preaching. Music provided by Carla Wootten and Margaret Taylor, including the singing of “O Holy Night.” Nursery will be provided.

 

11:00- Traditional Candlelight Service and Communion. Special music by the Chancel Choir, Adult Handbell Choir and Margaret Taylor singing “O Holy Night.” Derrick Parson will be preaching. No Nursery will be provided for this service.

 

December 27, 10:00 a.m. One Service.

Christmas Carol hymn sing with guest organist Paul Honaker and a special sermon by Derrick Parson. No Sunday school.
