Blood Drive

Please sign up to donate blood on Sunday, July 10, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in the Social Hall.
There is a sign-up sheet in the hallway across from the water fountain. If you are not picky about a time, email Laurie Breeden (lcbree123@aol.com). She will schedule you a time and let you know when it is.
Inspired by Janet Fattizzi, let’s make this our most successful blood drive ever.
Disciple Classes This Fall
Posted by Providence UMC on June 27, 2011Comments Off
Disciple is a
wonderful program designed by the United Methodist Church aimed at developing strong Christians. Providence will be offering two classes in this series beginning late August or early September.
Laura Griggs will be leading Disciple 1 which gives the Old and New Testaments equal time, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. This study is 34 weeks in length.
If you have completed Disciple 1, then you can take any of the remaining Disciple classes (even though they are called 2, 3, and 4, it does not represent the order in which you have to take them).
Barbie Vest will be leading Disciple 4 which concentrates on the writings of the Old Testament – Ruth, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Lamentations, and Daniel. New Testament Scriptures include the Gospel of John; 1, 2, and 3 John; James, Jude; and Revelation. This class lasts 32 weeks.
Sign-up on the clipboard on Sunday.
