The Spring Wednesday Night Dinners will be March 16 through April 27 (with no dinner activities planned on April 20 due to Spring Break). This series will offer mission or worship experiences for all ages. We hope that you will come and support these great experiences.

Remember Your Valentine

The Youth are partnering with the United Methodist Women for a Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday, February 12th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Social Hall. Menu: Chicken Vicky, vegetables, Jell-O, rolls and dessert. Tickets are on sale and the cost is $10 per person. Nursery will be provided.
The United Methodist Men are sponsoring the Sweetheart Breakfast on Sunday morning, February 13th, at 7:45 a.m. Sign up on the weekly sign-in sheet and bring your sweetheart to breakfast and church on the 13th.

The Rev. Denise Bennett will be joining us for both services on Sunday, February 27th to present the gospel in story. She will also share special music with her harp. Denise Bennett tells original stories, folktales and sacred stories. Come, bring a friend, and be refreshed by the spirit’s power through Denise’s talents.
A Journey of Faith for Teens

Beginning in February, Providence will offer a group for youth in grades 7-12 to learn more about the Christian faith and what it means to follow Jesus. This class, sometimes called a Confirmation Class, will offer learning time, field trips, a mission project and building relationships. The youth will be invited to consider being baptized or take the step of accepting God’s grace for themselves.
The group will meet in the Youth House on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 p.m., beginning February 9th, and continuing through April 6th. Contact Susan Clark at providenceyouth@yahoo.com for more information.

Our Grief Ministry group begins on Sunday, February 13th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Library. Here you can be with others who are experiencing the same feelings you are. There are others who understand what it’s like to lose a spouse/partner, parent, sibling or child. Please join us to see if this might speak to your need and help comfort you. Lee Bradshaw (Cell: 804-516-3809) can help arrange a ride for you if you need one
